On Railway station Almere Parkwijk in Holland, the complete lighting installation has been renovated.

The purpose was to increase the lightlevels in the entire station area for social safety, and to improve the light on the platforms for safe boarding of the trains.

Van Doorn Lighting made the new lighting design plan. For several traffic zones various types of standard vandal proof fixtures have been used, such as TRI, BACO and SAVIO.

For the platform lighting it was necessary to find a custom made solution. The luminairies here are custom made to fit in the existing construction without drilling holes etc. or destructing the building. The optical system is very advanced, with a double cross-over function. This ensures the right efficiency and lightlevels on the platforms and in the passenger waiting zones.

As well social safety as safety when boarding the trains are now on the desired levels, as needed in 2009.
